I have recently come across some seed pack designs by The London Seed Co (company established this year) that look incredibly similar to my designs for The Balcony Gardener (which I designed early last year)... They claim not to have seen my designs, what do you think?
I love illustration work that is hand drawn, sketchy & feels 'underworked' like Debbie Powell's. The illustration for the Jamie Oliver's tea packaging is just fantastic. Here are a few snapshots of her work... more can be found here.
I have just come across this great website changethethought which is kind of a creative community site. It was originally set up to showcase the work of talented artist and designer Christopher Cox. I am displaying some of my favourite poster designs from the site, some of which can be purchased.
It is too often these days that you see designed and illustrations that have been whipped up in a flash with little or no attention to crafting and detail. However, this can not be said of Si Scott. His incredible unique mind bending illustrations leave me wondering how on earth he even he even began to start them.
I have been creating an identity for a small business called Bird & Bloom that creates hair adornments and fascinators. I wanted to base the design around the ampersand. Whilst researching, I came across the Ampersand from Caslon 540 Italic. It is absolutely gorgeous! The Ampersand I ended up creating used feather like fronds to help convey the fascinator concept.
A book with a collection of 1600 ticket stubs over the last 2 decades from all over the world. I noticed this book whilst browsing the inspiring book website 'book by its cover'. This book can be bought online atamazon.
I came across this website this morning... a great idea. Four people collaborating and exploring various creative ideas with the main focus being that the process is the final product. It sounds complicated, but it is very simple and the 'final products' are very lovely indeed!
